First Wairarapa Walking Festival Celebrates a Successful Event

The Wairarapa Walking Festival was a ten-day festival held in November, with 40 walks, 120 volunteers and over 500 walkers.

There were some great options - short walks, family and buggy or wheel friendly options, bush walks, cultural and history, early morning or star gazing.

The feedback from the walkers was positive, so with a few minor tweaks this festival is looking to continue into the future.

Sponsorships and grants from the Wairarapa Councils, Trust House, Metlink, Tranzit, Property Brokers, Living Streets Aotearoa, Volunteering Wairarapa, Wairarapa Rescue Trust, and the Wairarapa Times Age helped to get this Festival underway.
