“Staying Safe” Driver Education Course Facilitator

“Staying Safe” is a theory-based driving refresher course for seniors. During the one-day course participants will re-familiarise themselves with traffic rules and safe driving practices as well as increase their knowledge about other transport options available to help keep them mobile for as long as possible, whether behind the wheel or when they stop driving. Full training is provided by Wairarapa Road Safety Council.

Requirements:

Interest and confidence in facilitating theory-based training sessions

A Police background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

Initial training for the course is approximately 4 hours. The “Staying Safe” Driver Education Course runs for approximately 5 hours. There is some data entry required prior and after a course. The facilitator is responsible for booking venues and ordering refreshments for the day
